Hey everyone! I hope everyone had a very HAPPY NEW YEAR! My new year was pretty great. It mostly consisted of setting lots of new goals for the upcoming year and starting on packing my bags. But fun! We got lots of food from everyone and ate lots of ice cream! Yummmm ๐Ÿ™‚ I can`t believe the end has come but it is time…

This week, I was feeling kinda yucky because of how hot and humid it is here….and there was one morning when we got up and my head hurt a lot and I was really tired and it was really hot and I really did NOT want to leave. But every single time I thought we should stay, something told me we should not. And I fought and fought, because I just wanted to stay inside but everytime…it told me to not stay to go out and work…SO even though I felt kinda bad and it was hot, we went out and worked and by the end of the day we had one person with a baptismal date who basically is a member of the church, she just needs to recieve the lessons and be baptized, whose mom is a member just about 6 months behind, who has gone to church a few times already and is going to go to efy, and basically is a very very easy baptism. SO that was a great miracle and also by the end of the day I felt a lot better! It just goes to show that if you push yourself just a little and trust that what the Lord is telling you to do is the thing that you should do…DO IT and he will bless you a lot…

That`s the thing I`ve learned the most in my mission. Just trust in the Lord. He ALWAYS got your back. He never lets you fall. He loves you and wants to help you but sometimes we are the stubborn ones. Sometimes we are the ones who push him out and he can`t help us that way…then we ask where the heck is God and he`s just there waiting for us to actually accept him! I`ve done that many times and it never works. It never works until we are truly humble. If we go down to the deeepest depts of humility, he will help us and we won`t just get past or get rid of our trials but we will be able to overcome them and learn from them and let them help us grow!ย

In the beginning of my mission, I pushed God out a lot. I wanted to learn this darn language but I thought that I could do it all myself, and I really didn`t have a good enough relationship with God to believe he would actually help me but little by little I learned. Little by little I grew and I KNEW that He would help me in whatever thing I ask. But if I am obediente and faithful.ย

Another thing I learned is that you should always love your companion. In other words, you need to believe that God loves you and wants you to grow enough to send you good companions and hard ones. I`ve had some hard times and sometimes I wasn`t the best with my companions but every single one of them helped me in some way or another. Some with love, some with patience, some with obedience, others with just enjoying the mission and making the most of every moment. God usually answers us through other people and in the mission, he answered me through my companions. I`m grateful for every single one I`ve had. I love them all. ๐Ÿ™‚

Well, I`ve learned WAYYYYY too many things to write them all here in this email but I guess I would say the biggest thing I learned is the the atonement of Christ is real and helps us one and all. Christ loved (and loves) us so much that he suffered until he bled from every pore. He understands us because he has truly suffered all our heartaches and pains. He really understands what it is like when we feel hurt and because of him we can become clean again. We can be free from sin. He loves us so much that he died and rose again the third day. So that one day we can rise and be perfected in him. I have grown to love him so much and what he did for me. I have never felt so close to anyone in my entire life. I KNOW he loves me and I KNOW that he suffered for me and I KNOW he is the only one who truly understands me and is the only one who can truly lift me up when I fall down. The atonement is real and it works. We must only let him in because he stands at the door and knocks but who has the key? We do. WE must let him in through our obedience, and a broken heart and contrite spirit.ย

There are many more things I could say but basically I know that this gospel is true, it is the gospel of Christ. I know the church was restored through Joseph Smith and that he was a prophet of God. I know that he translated the Book of Mormon through the power of God and we are truly blessed to have this book, to know exactly the will of God in all times and in all things. I know that families can be together forever. My family is a forever family and I love them beyond words. One day, we`ll be together forever and happy ๐Ÿ™‚ I mean, happier, happier than ever before! ๐Ÿ™‚ I know all these things for myself and you can too if only you get down on your knees and pray about it. He is listening and wants to answer. And He will answer.

In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.ย

I love you all and see you SOOOOOOON!ย

Have a super hot and humid christmas, and the same for the new year….

Hellooooo everyone! How was your Christmas? I hope it was GREAT! I had the best Christmas, the 24th we had dinner with the wife of our bishop. He actually had to work but we ate with them anyway and it was pretty yummy! The 25th, Christmas was probably the hottest day of the year! haha but it went really well because I was able to see my family and talk for a little bit! It was really great to see them, can`t believe how the time passes but I am excited for the next couple weeks!ย

That was probably the highlight of my week. Being able to see them and the snow! hahaha But also this has been a week of success. Maybe we didn`t baptize five people or anything but there were many moments when I could feel I was really following the spirit and saying the things that these people need to hear. It`s amazing to be a missionary and have the power to know exactly what these people need and when they need it. Obviously it takes some courage to follow the spirit and also the concentration but when you do it, it changes a lot. I am grateful for this oportunity.ย

Also this week it rained A LOT. Well in the beginning. Afterwards it was REALLY hot and it continues to be very hot. I have never sweated so much in my life, it`s a weird feeling to literally swear from every pore…but it`s worth it….also our fan died so we slept one night without the fan and THAT was when I could tell that Argentina is REALLY hot….haha but now we have a borrowed fan and are going to buy two more….

ANYWAYS…this week is new years and I hope everyone has a very HAPPY NEW YEAR! That you can put good goals and follow them with the help of our Heavenly Father….

I love you all!

Hey merry Christmas everyone! This week was really fun and we are excited to party for Christmas and also work really hard ๐Ÿ™‚ย

This week was pretty fun! We had lots of adventures teaching and visiting people but mostly we were pretty normal haha. A good week overall.

Yesterday we had a really fun activity of the navidad…I mean christmas….We went pretty early to the church then started making cookies and decorated bags to put the cookies in. We played a lot, ate lunch, then after taking lots of pictures, we went to an old people home and sang and gave them cookies and talked to them. It was so nice, I loved it! I felt really good giving this service to them because some have family that don`t ever visit them and they are all alone during Christmas so it was really nice to do that for them ๐Ÿ™‚ I could feel so much love for them ๐Ÿ™‚ย

I hope during this Christmas time you can all find more time to share your love, tell someone hi, help out a family member, or simply do what Christ would do in all times! I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas filled with family and love! I love you all!ย

Hey everyone! Hope everyone has had a great week! This week seemed to go by REALLY fast! haha Every Monday just comes faster and faster! This week we worked a LOT, we focused a LOT on giving cards to everyone and giving those all away!

Also we had an AWESOME noche de hogar…I mean….family home evening….with some of our investigators and a family that just BARELY got sealed in the temple like 2 weeks ago! It was great because this family we are teaching doesn`t want to get married, well they do but they are hestitant, and they were able to hear the testimonies of this couple that got sealed and the spirit was so strong, in the end they said that they would go and get a date to get married! ๐Ÿ™‚ We were so happy and excited for them! One can really know if he or she is on the right path through the spirit and when it testifies it is so strong! I could really feel that this was something important and I know they could feel it as well so we are just waiting until they go do that very important thing!ย

Also this week we bought new mattresses! YEAH! I was starting to have a little bit of back pain these last couple weeks so we ended up asking for the money and bought new ones and the difference has been amazing!!!! So that was pretty exciting hahaha

Also, during this week one day it just started raining SO much. We were soaking wet but we went to the appointment we already had and they didn`t have power and they told us that and we asked to use their bathroom and nothing more so they let us come in then we ended up teaching them the restoration and it really was a miracle! hahaha So we`ll see what happens this week…

Also another funny thing is that everyone keeps asking me and my companion if we are sisters! This week we decided that because we have so much in common that we are! Long lost sisters at least! hahahha this transfer has been fun, I can`t wait for the rest!ย

Anyways, I hope everyone can be able to share “A Savior is Born” and feel of the spirit from that video! I love and miss you all!ย

Week one…

Hey everyone! Hope everyone had a FANTASTIC week! With lots of Christmas cheer! haha This week was great for me…a lot of things happened…

The first thing is that we met SO many people giving away “A Savior is Born” cards. We have the goal of giving out 10 everyday (5 for each one of us) and we have been SUPER focused in doing this and we found some really awesome people who have potencial and we are just running around like crazy, as usual! Haha. We even met this one old couple who watched the video with us on their phone and afterwards, they wanted to take a picture with us!!! It was awesome! Watching that video just brought the spirit so strongly and I don`t know if they could feel it but we sure could! It was great! I`m really excited for this week to go back and see if they will progress and everything. Even if they don`t accept, I know that we made just a little bit of a difference and we did our part…

Also this week we had stake conference and it was great to listen to all the messages of our amazing leaders here in Argentina. The focus here is on ward council and making those meetings more useful and eficient. Also on the sabbath day. It was great. Also, because me and my companion almost have the same name, President Zanni made us stand up and told everyone that we were the sisters Christensen and if anyone had questions, they should ask us….so afterwards, everyone came and asked if we were sisters!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahaha president knows the difference, he just thought he was really funny ๐Ÿ˜‰ hahaha it was pretty funny….

Another funny experience I had this week…Saturday, we spent the ENTIRE morning walking and found noone….so we decided that on the way home we would talk with EVERYONE we saw on the street and give out cards…so we start walking and see this little old lady pulling her cart full of food and we asked her if we could help. She kinda nodded her head but more like she didn`t understand so I asked her louder if she wanted help and she said yes. So we ask where she lives and it`s evident that she can`t talk. Only just made some sounds so we decide to help and follow her to her house….as we were walking, she communicated to us that she lived pretty far away and we thought she was exaggerting a little so we just said okay and followed….we walk for a good thirty minutes, (almost in silence) and get to her house. After walking in the burning sun, in probably 90 degrees, and dust and not so safe area, we get to her house and she`s waves to us saying thanks and goes inside….and that was that….so then we walk all the way home….It was the funniest experience I ever had because afterwards, I couldn`t understand why we were directed to her and helped her and everything. Why God would send her to us. but as I thought about it, that`s what christ would do, isn`t it? Help the disabled because no one else would? Walk the extra mile just to make this person feel loved? Help them, knowing that they are sons and daughters of God? After helping this special person who couldn`t talk, I felt so good. I felt like I was really becoming a disciple of Christ. Maybe she couldn`t talk, and we didn`t get another investigator BUT we helped a special daughter of God and I know that Christ was happy that we followed his example. It`s morning I won`t easily forget….

I love you all and miss you! Have a great week! Share A Savior is Born with EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!! DO IT

Hello everyone! Can`t believe my last transfer has already started! It will be a fun one, I just know it! I stayed in Baigorria (of course) and you all won`t believe who my companion is….Hermana Christensen!!!!! Yeah, everyone is going to get us so mixed up but I am super excited to work with her! It`ll be a good transfer! ๐Ÿ™‚ย

This week was pretty different….We went to Arroyo Seco so Hermana Robinson could say goodbye to everyone over there and that went good. To see the impact this hermana has had on these people was amazing. It made me think of my converts and I hope that I have had an impact on their lives and that from my example, they can keep going in the gospel and endure to the end….

Also this week we did a service project! Saturday we went to Bishopยดs house and while he was at the temple with his son, we went and painted his house! It was a lot of work but a lot of fun! I got pretty much paint all over the place! hahaha but it was fun and after we ate yummy lunch so it was good ๐Ÿ™‚

I am excited for this time in my life. I can`t believe it`s all coming to an end but that just motivates me to work even harder every single day because soon, I won`t be doing all this! It feel like my mission went by in 2 months, REALLY fast but I am so happy to have had this time and the next six weeks I am going to work harder than I ever have!ย

I love you all and hope you have a super awesome week!ย

Hey everyone! Wow this week was super crazy! I am writing today because yesterday we spent the entire day in Rosario in the mission house playing and going crazy! haha no but because we were there all day, today we are writing! So how is everyone doing? I hope you all had an amazing week! Can`t believe it`s already the last week of the transfer and after this…I will be the one going home and not my companion! Ahh! hahaย

Well this week was pretty normal. We worked and had lots of lessons and met some awesome people. Left some who weren`t going to progress and really just everyday could see miracles. Everyday really was a good day ๐Ÿ™‚ Thursday we ended up eating Thanksgiving dinner because we won`t be able to this week and it was REALLY yummy! I love Argentine food but it will be good to get back and eat “real food” hahaย

Also, Sunday we had to stay in because they were voting in a new president so Sunday was pretty relaxing. haha But yeah, this week has been pretty calm.ย

One thing I learned this week was positivity. I think I always thought that positivty isn`t all THAT important. Or that it really isn`t a big thing BUT there is a HUGE difference in being positive and just living life because yeah. The positivity really helps a person not only get through life but to be happy while doing it. It was great to get turned down by a person but feeling that it was okay because we at least talked with them and that we have other people to help on their way through this life. It was a great lesson that I learned ๐Ÿ™‚

So yeah, other than that I am pretty content ๐Ÿ™‚ I hope you all have a great week and always look on the postive side of things! ๐Ÿ™‚ย

Love you all!
